I have not been updating this blog much. Hopefully, the extreme business in my life will slow a bit so I can contribute more soon. I have still been capturing some images when I have time so I will just share the Flickr links with you!

Since we arrived to the Pacific Northwest on Thursday, July 21st, I have managed to capture a couple of photos and throw them into my Flickr account. The set, titled “Pacific Northwest” is a collection of a few HDR images, images straight from my Nikon DSLR, and a couple of iPhone 4 shots.
Here are a few shots I took at the Brush Colorado July 4th parade. These images were processed in HDR and noise removed with Topaz De-Noise Photoshop plugin. Here in a few days, we will be off to the Pacific Northwest and the amount of photos I will take will be obscene. So, I hope to get some of the jewels posted here!
Here are a couple of shots of a thunderstorm that was located west and slightly south of Wiggins, Colorado. This particular storm here had been given severe status moments before I took these shots. Once this storm moved overhead, it produced heavy rain and small hail. So, it’s bark was certainly bigger than it’s bite! Beautiful, nonetheless. These images were taken with my Nikon DSLR in NEF format. When I got home, I processed them in HDR, and then noise removal was with Topaz De-Noise in Photoshop CS5. The Topaz De-Noise is responsible for the dreamy look, but they were horribly noisy to begin with due to the low light, and the noise created within the HDR processing.
What better way to share a colorful picture than with a picture of all the colors! This shot was taken after a nice thundershower that rolled through Morgan County. This is at Hwy 34, just west of the Hwy 71 intersection.
If you have not been to Yellowstone, you must really make a point to go. It is a truly spectacular place full of wildlife and natural wonder. Here is a small sampling of the extremely large amount of photos I took in HDR.
I plan to share the story and a photo behind one particular wildlife-sighting incident in the next post.
Keep in mind that I am a beginning/amateur photographer and HDR manipulator. Taken with my Nikon DLSR and HDR by Oloneo and Photoshop CS5. With that in mind, enjoy!

Today we spent most of the day walking around the basin around Old Faithful and West Thumb. The pictures I have been posting have been with my iPhone. I have many photos taken with my Nikon in RAW format that need sorted through and processed when I get home. I may have to put together a gallery to display them all.
Tomorrow, we are headed north to see what we can see. The word on the streets here is that there are many closed areas still due to snow.
This is from a herd of bison we drove through:
Verizon coverage is spotty so I am squeezing in a photo from Biscuit Basin.
We just finished a couple of miles of hiking through some unexpected snow in our tennis shoes to Mystic Falls and now are headed back to our campsite where there is no coverage. Perhaps I can get another update through tomorrow.
